Envirocast^® Commercial Walls

The Evirocast Commercial Walls are taller and robustly loaded for heavier applications. These walls are offered in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet your project-specific requirements. The wall structural system consists of reinforced vertical and horizontal integral concrete studs and “bond beams.” These provide vertical and horizontal flexural and shear capacity to meet all national, state, and local building codes. Wire mesh reinforcing may be added to enhance in-plane shear capacity.

We employ a variety of connection types to suit your needs:

Bolted, post-installed, or embedded steel items for base connections
Shear anchors between panel sections segments
Roof diaphragm
Support connections

These walls can be used as primary structural members or cladding elements for steel or concrete frame structures.

In addition to the Commercial Walls, various other elements may be incorporated into the structure including headers, beams, columns, elevator tower walls, etc. to complete the building structure. In short, the Envirocast Commercial Wall System is not limited by the system’s constraints, but only by your imagination.

Industrial Knee Walls

Continuing on the concept of the Envirocast Commercial Walls, Industrial Knee Walls offer the versatility of pre-insulated walls with the strength and durability of concrete.

These walls are offered in a standard 8-ft tall (or custom size) “hardwall” for metal buildings that install in hours rather than the days of the typical masonry walls. Offered in various lengths, the Envirocast Knee Walls allow for various column “bay” spacing. These standard sizes can be adjusted to meet intermediate and end conditions as required by project-specific requirements.

Connection Types

A variety of connection types can be employed to suit your needs. For the top connections the tiebacks can be easily achieved by use of “Halfen” anchor channels with the straps welded to steel angles which are welded to the primary building columns. For the base connections solid concrete areas are provided for bolted attachment of a clip angle which is bolted to the floor slab with a variety of post-installed anchors depending on project-specific requirements

Installation

The Envirocast Knee Wall also provides for an excellent insulated building envelope without adding expensive or time-consuming insulation to the wall since the insulation is already built in. Envirocast Knee Wall meets or exceeds the 2012 Energy Codes that many municipalities are now requiring.
